According to the legislation L.3661 / 08 and the establishment of the energy categorization mechanism of the constructions based on KENAK, all the constructions whose building permit was issued after 2010 must issue a certificate of energy classes based on the study of KENAK. All constructions fall into the following categories A +, A, B +, B, C, D, E, F, G where from category C and below are considered as unacceptable constructions.
The annual energy consumption of a construction is calculated on the basis of KENAK. Homes belonging to energy class A + can achieve energy savings of up to 70% compared to a construction of energy class B.
